MCI provides two ultrasonic (NDT) testing services for vessels calling at Colombian ports. Ultrasonic Hatch Cover Weathertightness Test verifies the seal integrity of cargo hold hatch covers in accordance with IACS UR Z17, helping prevent cargo wetting claims before they happen.
Ultrasonic Thickness Survey measures steel thickness and wastage on hull plating and internal tank or bulkhead structures, scoped to what the client needs — a full hull assessment, a tank-specific check, or both — supporting classification, pre-purchase and condition-monitoring decisions.
Verification that confined spaces, tanks, or cargo units are free from flammable, toxic, or hazardous gases. We assess atmospheric conditions and issue the Gas Free Certificate required for inspections, maintenance, and hot work.
